i went into a restaurant yesterday with a friend, and ordered a set menu that came with a drink & a cake:
me: a set B please. i'll have the cake and coffee later.
*i like my coffee hot*
friend: can i have an extra NY cheesecake please. waitressA: so set B with NY cheesecake. me: no. a set B, and an extra cheesecake on the side. waitressA: ok. *looking very confused & staring at her notepad* set B with NY cheesecake. me: no. i'll have my cake later. the NY cheesecake is not with my set. friend: and i want the cheesecake. waitressA: *look even deeper into her notes and cross some things out* yes. cheesecake with the set? friend: okok, fine. cheesecake with the set. me: i'll have the coffee later on. waitressA: ok.
*cheesecake came first*...*then my pasta*
after a few bites of pasta. another waitress came by saying: "excuse me, miss. sorry, but we are boiling the coffee now so it'll take a bit longer ok?"
me: it's ok. i dont want it now. i'll order it later.
*finally i'm done with my pasta*
found waitressA and ask if i could have my cake and coffee now.
waitressA: ok. who put in your ordered just then? friend: you did....

i went into a local steak house with a friend, and orderd ourselves some steaks.
waitress: do you want rice, spaghetti or vege-potatoes (薯菜) on the side? me: can i have the vege-potatoes, but no potatoes please. waitress: but vege-potatoes comes potatoes. me: right. but i dont want the potatoes. just vege only. waitiress: but vege-potatoes comes with potatoes *looking very confused*. me: ......ok whatever.
*waitress went off, then we realized we forgot to tell her how "well-done" we want our steaks* a waiter came by:
friend & i: we would like to have medium-rare please. waiter: *very pleasent attitude* oh it's all cooked. friend & i: errrr... so the steaks are pre-cooked? waiter: *smile & nod* yes. it's all done *looking very sure & proud* waiter: *still very pleasent* oh but dont worry. we don't "ding" the steaks [which means microwaved. HK ppl short-cut it by the sound]. we re-heat them on the grill.
i've officially moved on to a new chapter of my life, professionally. from an assistant post that just upload things online everyday, i'm now an actual articles-jamming machine. i was handing over the uploading job for the past week, and strangely felt a bit sad. that brainless little crap task was actually quite therapeutic.
it's been two years since i've been bored enough to talk to 'myself'. when everyone has grew out of this after they have graduated, i suddenly remember the existence of this page and felt "man, it's been awhile since i last use my brain and actually sit down and reflect." then i was too proud to bow to the 'forgot your password?' button after trying to sign in for about five times one night. so i procrastinated for a few more months.
Felt a bit lame to start again when people's sites either date back to 2007 or even 2005. got some that are already shut down, too.
being back home is great. free rent, home cooking food... the only set back is there ain't much time that i can actually sit down and empty my head, like the 2am-s that i had back in college. when i finally got sick of surfing the net, chatting on msn, and all there was left was staring at the street lights outside my window. that's when i start thinking about myself.
here. i come home from work.check emails and all the bookmarked websites. dinner. shower. chat online... *jane, drink your soup* okok. sit down again and just when i got all sappy on my drama catch-up... *jane, eat your fruits* right right. *stop sniffing, so annoying* *told you to wear more* *have you had your vitnamins? dont forget the omega 3* *it's late, go to bed or else you'll be sniffing tomorrow*...*why are you always in your room? don't cross your legs. that's why you are short. come out for TV. you never hang out with you family*...
i'm in love with 王卯卯（MOMO）'s "Tuzki". i read about her on the newspaper today. she's the one that made all the msn's animated rabbit icons. now i wish i really had some kind of graphic/animation background 'coz you can do so much with it.
